How to change the default SMTP port?

Ms Outlook/Express/Windows Mail

• In the menu: Tools/Accounts… choose your account and click Properties and then the Advanced tab.
• In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) field enter 587.
• Check if the SMTP authentication option is enabled.

Thunderbird

• In the menu: Tools / Account configuration, choose Outgoing mail server (SMTP).
• Click the Edit button.
• in the Port field enter 587.
• Check Use user ID and password and enter your login in the User field.
• Alternatively, you may check Use encrypted connection TLS option – then the mail transmission will be encrypted.
• Confirm new settings OK.
