Configuration and Grade Names

The gradebook is located in the course under the Grades tab. To display the set grades, select Grade names from the dropdown list. These grades can be modified.

By selecting the Modify option, the teacher can determine how students will be graded by entering the percentage value and the name. The minimum percentage value to be achieved is entered.

In the Course grade settings option in the dropdown list, you can determine how grades are displayed (Grade item settings). The default option is Points, i.e., the number of points earned, e.g., from a test.

Addendum* When creating a test in the course, in the Grade tab, you can enter a passing threshold. Thanks to this, in the gradebook, positive grades will be shown in green, and negative grades in red. Otherwise, the color will remain black.

An important element is to select the appropriate review options

The gradebook is visible only to the teacher.

There are several ways for a student to see the test grade and the average grade in the entire course.

• In the review options for a given test, check the Points box in the After the quiz is closed column (the student will see the number of points earned when the quiz is closed) or in the Later, while the quiz is still open column (the student will receive the result with a delay, not immediately after the attempt).
  *It is good practice to set overall feedback and check it in the review options. Overall feedback will appear depending on the percentage value obtained in the test.
