Additional Options in Google Meet

  1. Displaying Presentations

During the display of a presentation, the Host has the ability to add annotations to the displayed image. To do so, select the icon marked in blue, indicating that the annotation feature is enabled. This option can be disabled by selecting the appropriate field in the toolset Stop Adding Annotations. To enable annotations, simply choose one of the available tools. The icon with two arrows pointing up and down allows the Host to zoom in or out on the displayed image.

  3. Adding a Co-author for Annotations

A new feature also allows adding a selected user as a Co-creator of Annotations. This means that the selected meeting participant can add annotations to the displayed presentation, just like the Host. This option can also be disabled; however, the changes made to the image will not be automatically removed. The Host must remove them manually.

  4. Setting a Participant as a Viewer

An additional option shown in the image above is to Assign the Viewer Role. This means the participant will only be able to view the displayed presentation without using their camera or microphone. After this option is disabled, the viewer will once again become a Participant in the meeting, but they must accept this change themselves.
