How to check the name of dean’s group?

A lecturer can check the name of the group by logging into the e-university, selecting the CLASS PLAN tab. A .pdf plan can be generated.

You can also go to the e-university website at THIS link and select:
– class date,
– building in which the classes take place,
– select the “Show available dates” button.
You will see a table showing the occupancy of the rooms. After selecting appropriate classes, the dean’s group name will appear in the table on the right.

You can turn off the visibility of individual columns by hovering over the down arrow next to each column name.

When will I get the Virtual University information?

Submitting an application for a program is not equivalent to creating an account at the Virtual University.
For candidates for first-cycle full-time programs, accounts are created when the recruitment process is completed.
For the other candidates, accounts are created when the recruitment is completed.

All information will be sent to the e-mail address provided during the recruitment.

Instructions on the protocols completed at the Virtual University

Problem with logging in to the virtual university.

If you cannot log to the Virtual University in after entering the correct login and password (no message at all), please clear your browser’s cache (CTRL-SHIFT-DEL key combination).

Opening protocols and going back to the list of protocols
To improve work with protocols, it is suggested to open each protocol in a new window or browser tab.
To do this, place the mouse cursor on the name of the chosen protocol on the list of protocols,, use ‘right-click’ and choose open link in a new tab.
This will open the chosen protocol in a new web browser tab.
The list of protocols will still be available (on one of the browser tabs). Thus, you will not need to use the going back to protocol table option.

Completing the protocol (grades and dates) in MS Excel – by ‘dragging‘
To protect against automatically increasing grades/dates when copying by ‘dragging’ the mouse cursor, you must additionally hold down the Ctrl key.

Data import in MS Excel format
Correct import of the protocol (grades and dates) saved in the MS Excel format is possible following correct completion of the fields available to the Teacher (yellow background).
Particular attention should be paid to the format of dates (dd-mm-yyyy) and numbers (a dot should be used as a decimal separator). If an error is detected during import, a message indicating which lines contain incorrect data should appear on the Virtual University website.

Windows 10 and data import in MS Excel format
To keep the required data format, users of Windows 10 should precede the entered date and grades with the apostrophe symbol ().
As a result, dates and grades should be formatted as text values and correctly imported into the protocol at the Virtual University.

Generating a calendar file

1. Generating a calendar file by a user in the Virtual University

  • In the Virtual University in the tab Schedule / Presentation of the schedule / Exporting the schedule to the calendar, each logged user (Student, Teacher) has the option to download the generated individual link/calendar with scheduled classes or the link/calendar narrowed to dates chosen by the user.
  • After logging into the VU, the user has access to their calendar:
  • Every time when downloading the file, we’ll see a current user calendar here.
If a logged user wants to narrow the dates and download the calendar file narrowed to the dates, one should use the Choose date range button:
  • Applications such as Outlook and Google Calendar have the option of defining the calendar on the basis of the above link. Moreover, the link allows to download the calendar file in order to import it into the calendar application e.g. in the mail client, however in this case the calendar is not being updated.

2. Configuring the calendar using a link on the example of Goggle Calendar

  • After logging into the account, choose the Calendar from the menu. Then, in the default calendar, choose Settings:
  • Then from the left-hand menu choose Add calendar / From URL. Paste the link generated on the Virtual University website and confirm with the Add calendar button:
  • Now the following is available in calendars:
  • A calendar on the basis of a url address has the same options as other calendars so it is possible, for example, to define notifications.
